Natal Astrology Research

Traditional Natal Astrology practiced today is the reintegration of Horoscopic Techniques lost since the 1700's to medieval Latin, Arabic, Persian & Greek languages, occulted by the academic segregation of Astrology as a 'Pseudoscience'. Resurrected in the last 20 years by dedicated Astrological researchers and translators committed to presenting a living tradition that served as a contemplative and divinatory system for millennia, volumes of texts written between the times of Ptolemy and the Grand Library at Alexandria through Persia to Arabic inheritors al-Kindi & his student Abu Mashar were assimilated and transmitted by medieval European physicists including Hebrew author Abraham Ibn Ezra and Latin practitioner Guido Bonatti to the 17th c. Astrologer William Lilly, the first English author to transmit ancient astrological methodology in that language.

Horoscopic birth chart analysis, Natal Astrology, is an ancient practice of divination that has fragmented into numerous contemporary Cultural Astrologies that are practiced in vastly different ways. The analysis contained in this work has been done according to Medieval period astrological techniques, especially those promoted by Robert Zoller, termed by Zoller as ‘Western Predictive Astrology’ though based on material originating from 1st century practices outlined by Claudius Ptolemy since passed through Egyptian, Babylonian, Greek, Persian, Arabic and Latin inheritors. As with any modern assertion of the Future, statements made when examining Nativities (Birth Chart) are non-binding and have been made for historical astrology research purposes only.

The Historical Astrological Tradition in the western circles of thought has been considered comprised of such touted examples of human intellect as Carl Jung, Isaac Newton, Johannes Kepler and Galileo Galilei. Despite the painful separation of astrology and astronomy in western academics a rational system of interpretation is still applied from foundational horoscopic techniques contained in ancient works. Zoller’s predictions of the tragedies occurring September 11 2001 are stark evidence.

Horoscopic charts of public figures are not as forthcoming with descriptive quality as many news reports or magazine articles might offer with seemingly intimate summaries of a person’s private life. Even auto-biographies must be taken as the native’s attempt at self-creation (or re-creation) in effect of how that person wishes to be seen, for good or bad, and are still subjective compared to the real life accidents or circumstances that objectively surround everyday life.

The procedures contained within a ancient astrological birth chart reading or delineation are two-part, one an interpretive summary of the planets in the birth chart considered with their whole-sign relationship to the horoscope or ascendant and second the predictive elements used to provide annual reports on the life circumstances of the native in any given year.
